What thing in your life do you complain about that’s actually brought you blessings?

I have two examples: one shallow and one deep. Since we’re already here, we’ll start in the shallow.

A few years back, at our women’s retreat, my sister, bestie, and I went to talk to the speaker. Our age came up in conversation. She couldn’t believe we were creeping closer to 40 than 30. “Something must be in the water in South Louisiana!” And she wanted whatever it was.

Up until a few years ago. I was still getting asked what I was “studying in school” at the coffee shop where I liked to work. And just yesterday a friend’s dad was flabbergasted that I wasn’t in my 20s. We’re best friends now. 🤣

Recently, I’ve seen influencers mention sleeping with a humidifier by their bed to keep their skin dewy.

To my surprise. Humidity = Good.

Us Cajuns are over here cursing its existence every spring. Blaming it for our frizz.

Just all in all hating that sticky feeling it gives off even inside on really humid days.

But is it possible it’s the thing keeping the South Louisiana girls looking young?

We recently had a leak and needed dehumidifiers to suck up the moisture and potentially save our hardwood floors. As the humidity dropped, I developed a massive headache, NOSEBLEEDS, and crunchy skin.

When I think of something as silly as humidity and maybe that it’s had these hidden benefits that I actually appreciate, I feel foolish for all my complaining about it and just imagine how silly I look to God, who knows everything.

It’s just skin, but what about another example?
