Why aren't we getting better advice?
The biggest pitfall I've found sabotaging our decision-making process
Do you ever walk through a situation only to realize it was the wrong decision? And it’s not because you were careless or hasty. You really took the time to seek wise counsel, but now you're left wondering, what happened? And quite frankly, why didn’t I get better advice?
I prayed.
I sought out advice from others.
I really tried to listen to God!
Or maybe you feel overwhelmed that something was from God and are now dumbfounded by what could have happened.
And these feelings don’t just stay nicely tucked in a “well it would have been nice…”
No, it makes you question your abilities to follow the Lord in the future. We tell ourselves, “I mean, I think this is God, but I thought that it was Him last time.”

My husband made a really good point recently (I’d never say it to his face…Michael Scott reference), and I even think he came up with a new term that I will now be using.
He said when we’re making decisions, we can’t “God-load” things too soon.
