April Digest

I think this book is about to change my life

Edit: I sat on this digest for the last few weeks because I only want to write when I’ve got something to say. So excuse the tardiness but I do hope it is helpful!

April is here, and I am a whole new person!

My house is mostly back in one piece. I’ve got TONS of content coming your way! The warmer weather is here, and I’m in the midst of my long-awaited Sabbatical¹!

THE UPGRADE VMP NEEDED

Are you following along with Val Marie Paper still? I keep watching Lindsay’s stories and reading her emails and thinking “this is what I would have loved to do more of but didn’t have the energy for!” Lots of heartfelt prayer, seeing answered prayers and just overall feeling motivated to keep praying. She also has a spring colors’ Compose bundle and I love it!

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THIS SENTIMENT?

As soon as I saw this, I screenshot it knowing I’d love to remember it more often.

NEW FIGHT SONG

I heard this song on a day when one of my girls was really struggling (it’s been a rough few weeks for her honestly) and I shared this song with her. The words said so many things we had talked about in conversation, and I basically said, but it’s in fun, hyped tune, AND SHE AGREED, PEOPLE! She’s also called me a cool mom twice this week². THE WISHLIST

This from Brittany Viklund hit “Last year, I started a running wishlist in my Notes app. Instead of buying something immediately, I added it to the list (including a link if needed) and revisited it later. Now, a year in, it’s fascinating to scroll through and see that 95% of the things I thought I wanted, I no longer care about. It’s been eye-opening to realize how many things I could have purchased but would have quickly lost interest in.”

SPEAKING OF NOTES

Wynne Elder is the queen of notes and her monthly recap is one of my favorite emails to get all month! I am also planning on creating a Family Binder during my Sabbatical.

THIS BIBLE STUDY IS TAKING ME DEEPER

I am loving the format, content and whole setup for this new study. I have struggled a lot being out of routine the last few months and TBH, a little bored in my studies but this has been so refreshing! One day, Vivi got up early and did it with me and it made me want to incorporate these into our homeschool and learning to study the Bible. Colleen Searcy, the author has several in the series and it looks like will be making more. Check them out here.
