If you desire more focus and consistency and less distractions and distance from the Lord, now is the perfect time to grab our yearly prayer journal for 2025. Grab one here.
When I was tucking the girls in last night, Vivi got soft and sad and said she didn’t want to leave our house. She wanted things to stay the same. I just sat with her and said I totally understand. I told her how that day (January 1) was one of my favorite days of the year. I love a fresh start. I longed to be sitting next to our fireplace with my goals, my new prayer journal, and my new Bible reading plan. Instead we were schlepping boxes 10 hours a day and deciding: Take with us to Mimi’s? Put in the storage unit for a few months? Or throw away?
Alas, life happens, and we don’t get the perfect start. We know that inherently, and I think it’s why some people get their feathers ruffled by us goal-setters. Maybe we look naive to them, like we think everything magically changes on January 1.
I never saw it like that. What I always felt was a fun running start. There was momentum and excitement that made goals feel like a fresh wind in your sails.
And you better believe that once the literal dust settles in the next few days, I’m gonna spend some quiet time fleshing out these goals a bit more!
Here’s a look through the past years (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). It’s wild to see what has changed in my life in 12 years! God has been at work in ways I don’t even realize until I look back.
So today, I’m sharing my 8 goals for 2025. One thing I am planning to do this year is only focus on one or two at a time. Someone mentioned on Instagram that they love to see the verses I incorporate for each goal and possible obstacles, so I’m sharing those again too!
Ok, now here are my goals for 2025!
